Jim is a native Californian and has been working as a civil engineer for the Corps of Engineers for over 20 years. He enjoys hiking and gardening in his spare time.

Loriene was born and raised in Los Angeles. She worked as a campus minister at California State University, Long Beach for four years then worked in the corporate office of Every Nation Ministries as Events Director for ten years. Loriene is now a stay-at-home mom. Jim and Loriene have been married for twelve years and have two children, Cayla and Hunter.
